My work explores how simple geometric shapes can create a surprising sense of depth and form. By layering lines, rectangles, and angular planes, I build structures that appear to shift between flat pattern and three‑dimensional space. I use contrasts in color, value, and scale to suggest planes that advance or recede, allowing the viewer’s eye to travel through the composition rather than simply across its surface. Subtle overlaps and intersections invite the shapes to behave like architectural fragments or folded paper, hinting at volume without fully describing it. In this way, geometry becomes a tool for questioning what is solid and what is illusion, encouraging viewers to reconsider how space can be constructed on a two‑dimensional surface.
